Virtus continues to monitor the situation surrounding Saliou Niang, who is currently in Louisiana. According to Walter Fuochi of Repubblica, the club has reached an agreement to allow him to train individually while waiting for his admission to the local university to be cleared, where he is expected to play for a figure exceeding $5 million.
A decision is expected soon, and there is optimism within the player’s camp. If the outcome is positive, the newspaper reports, Virtus would receive around $500,000 in compensation to release Niang. If the move falls through, the player would return to Italy, and Virtus and Niang would assess together what steps to take next.
