According to The Athletic, the Sacramento Kings ownership supported drafting Luka Doncic but Vlade Divac, Peja Stojakovic and Brandon Williams had doubts about how he would fit alongside De’Aaron Fox.
The Kings picked Marvin Bagley with the No. 2 overall pick in 2018, Doncic went No. 3.
