Rytas Vilnius inks Vaidas Kariniauskas

A new point guard joined the Rytas Vilnius. The 27-year-old 1.85 m guard Vaidas Kariniauskas who led Lithuanian Basketball league in scoring, will represent Rytas club for the next year.

“I’m glad and I’m happy here. Several criteria that weighed the choice – first of all, my family wanted to stay in Lithuania. The second and very important is the coach, I believe in and we have already talked with him for a few hours. I like his vision, his style, how he works and controls the team. We will do our best to make this team find their game and I will fight in every match,” – said Kariniauskas.

In the 2020-2021 Lithuanian Basketball League season, guard averaged 16.6 points, 6.2 assists and 3 rebounds. The point guard was elected to Betsafe-LKL symbolic five and was invited to represent Lithuania National basketball team in EuroBasket 2020 Qualifiers.
