According to Shams Charania (ESPN), there’s strong mutual interest between Russell Westbrook and the Sacramento Kings in potentially joining forces this season.
The Kings need a reserve point guard, ranking 29th in both bench points and assists last year. Westbrook’s ties to Domantas Sabonis, Dennis Schroder, and new GM Scott Perry make Sacramento an appealing fit.
After opting out of his deal with Denver, Westbrook remains unsigned, coming off a season where he averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 27.9 minutes per game.
