Avery Bradley reached an agreement with the Miami Heat, Shams Charania reports.
The guard out of Texas will sign a two-year, $11.6 million contract.
Last year Bradley, who opted out of the NBA bubble and therefore did not participate in the Lakers’ playoff run, averaged 8.6 points and 2.3 rebounds.

Gordon Hayward reportedly joining Hornets on a 4-year, $120 million contract

Free Agent swingman Gordon Hayward reached an agreement with the Charlotte Hornets on a a 4-year, $120 million contract.

Several teams were interested in the former Butler star, including the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks.

Hayward spent the past 3 years with the Boston Celtics.

Fred VanVleet to re-sign with Toronto Raptors

Fred VanVleet has reached an agreement to stay with the Toronto Raptors.
According to Shams Charania, the pointguard out of Wichita State will sign a four-year, $85 million contract.

Montrezl Harrell chose to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers despite he had a bigger offer from the Charlotte Hornets, as reported by Brad Turner.

The two trades involving Steven Adams and Jrue Holiday have turned into a four-team blockbuster deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

– Milwaukee gets Jrue Holiday
– New Orleans gets Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, plus two first-round picks in 2025 and 2027
– Oklahoma City gets George Hill, Darius Miller, a 2023 first-round pick (from DEN via NOLA) and two second-round picks in 2023 and 2024
– Denver gets the No. 24 pick in 2020 (RJ Hampton) from MIL via NOLA

Indiana Pacers reportedly favorite to acquire Gordon Hayward

The Indiana Pacers remain the preferred destination for Gordon Hayward as a free agent, though it will require the participation of the Boston Celtics in a sign-and-trade, reports New York Times’ Marc Stein. Hayward’s proposed deal with the Pacers would be in the four-year, $100 million range, and sources says that a package may involve Myles Turner and Doug McDermott.

The New York Knicks remain interested in Hayward, according to Stein, but have held firm on a lower salary figure. Knicks initial offer for Hayward is believed to be a 2-year deal.

Dallas acquire James Johnson in three-team trade with Detroit, Oklahoma City

Dallas Mavericks have acquired forward James Johnson in a three-team trade that saw Delon Wright going to the Detroit Pistons and Trevor Ariza to the Oklahoma City Thunder, reports Marc Stein of the New York Times. Thunder will also get additional draft compensation.

Johnson was acquired by the Thunder from the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of the Ricky Rubio trade and is on an expiring contract worth approximately $16 million. The deal will create additional cap space for the Mavericks in 2021. The Mavericks signed Wright to a three-year, $29 million contract last offseason, while Ariza has had a rollercoaster of a week with the Thunder being his fourth team since the NBA transactions began earlier this week.

Pelicans trade for Steven Adams in exchange for draft picks

The New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder are finalizing a trade centered on Steven Adams, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Pelicans will send a 2023 lottery protected first round pick they recently received, during the NBA Draft, from the Denver Nuggets to the Thunder, as well as two future second round picks.

Adams is entering the final season of a four-year, $100 million extension with the Thunder in 2016.

John Wall wants to leave the Wizards

John Wall doesn’t want to stay anymore in Washington.
The point guard let the franchise know that he wants to leave.
Wall has not played a game in nearly two seasons due to some serious injuries.
The Wizards are discussing with the Houston Rockets a Wall-Westbrook swap but the deal is not imminent.

Veteran center Dwight Howard has agreed to a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers worth $2.6 million, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic. Earlier today, Howard had tweeted that he was going to re-sign with the Lakers.

In 2019-20 former Defensive Player of the Year has had a sort of redemption season, turning into an important contributor off-the-bench to the Lakers title.
