Yannick Nzosa joins Coosur Real Betis on loan from Unicaja Malaga

Coosur Real Betis and Unicaja Malaga have reached an agreement for the loan of Congolese center Yannick Nzosa for one season.

Last year the big man averaged 2.3 points and 2 rebounds in 11 minutes per game in ACB.

Nzosa was selected by the Washington Wizards with the No.54 pick of the last NBA Draft.

Cholet Basket inks former NBA first round pick Justin Patton

Justin Patton is a new player of Cholet Basket, as announced by the French team.

The center was the No. 16 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Patton made his European debut last year with Hapoel Eilat, producing 12 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game between Winner League and FIBA Europe Cup.

 

Justin Robinson signs with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque

BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque announced the signing of point guard Justin Robinson.

The player comes from a season in Germany with Brose Bamberg (12 points and 5 assists per game in BBL).

Justin Robinson previously played in France from 2018 to 2020.

Nenad Dimitrijevic will play on loan at Unics Kazan in the 2022-23 season

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Unics Kazan so point-guard Neno Dimitrijevic (1.90m, Skopje (Macedonia del Norte), 23/02/1998, 24 years) will play on loan in the Russian team during the 2022-23 season.

The North-Macedonian point guard joined the Taronja squad in the summer of 2021, after having played on loan at Joventut Badalona in his first year with the Taronja team. In the 2021-22 campaign, he played 33 games with the Taronja jersey, averaging 8.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists and 7.8 PIR in over 18 minutes per game.

Marcus Foster joins BC Rytas Vilnius

BC Rytas Vilnius signed a contract with 27-year-old guard Marcus Foster, who has Euroleague experience and became the NBA G League champion last season.

The 191 cm tall American, who won the NBA G League trophy with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, averaged 18.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 33 games.

After the G-League season, Foster joined greek side Promitheas (12.5 PPG, 55% FG).

Gora Camara returns to Segafredo Virtus Bologna

Segafredo Virtus Bologna announced the return of Gora Camara.

The 21-year-old center spent last year on loan to VL Pesaro.
Camara in the 2020-21 season produced 9.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in the Italian A2.

 

Tezenis Verona lands Aric Holman

Tezenis Verona announced the arrival of Aric Holman with a one-year contract.

Holman spent last year in G-League with the Austin Spurs, averagins 11.5 points (53 percent from two-point range, 28 percent from three-point range) and 6 rebounds per game.

Last December, the center signed a 10-year deal with the Miami Heat.

Alvark Tokyo signs Justin Cobbs

Alvark Tokyo announced the signing of Justin Cobbs.

The American guard with Montenegrin passport spent the past three seasons with Buducnost.

In 2021-2022 he averaged 12.8ppg in ABA Liga, 15.5ppg in EuroCup and 11ppg in the domestic championship.

Shawn Jones joins PGE Spójnia Stargard

Shawn Jones is a new player of PGE Spójnia Stargard, as announced by the Polish team.

The big man spent last year with KK Split (7.2 PPG, 4.5 RPG in 17 minutes).

 

Gavin Schilling signs with Limoges CSP

French side Limoges CSP announced the arrival of Gavin Schilling.

The big man out of Michigan State is coming off a year with Bayern Munich averaging 4.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in BBL.

Coach Cancellieri’s comment: “Gavin is motivated to progress in his career and that means a lot to me. He has the physique and size we need in the role. His ability to be complementary to his teammates will be an added value.”

Tai Webster joins Petkimspor

Petkimspor announced the signing of Tai Webster.

The guard out of Nebraska spent last year with Zalgiris Kaunas (4 PPG, 1.5 APG in Euroleague, 7.8 PPG, 2.2 APG in LKL).

Oriol Paulí returns to Barça

Barça and Oriol Paulí have reached an agreement for the forward to join the club for the next two seasons, until 30 June 2024. The player from Girona comes to the blaugranes from MoraBanc Andorra where he played the last two seasons.

La Masia product

Oriol Paulí came to the Barça youth system in the summer of 2006 where he played for eight seasons until 2014.

As a youth player at the Club he won the Endesa Minicopa in 2008, the U14 Spanish Championship the same year, the U16 Championship in 2010 and the Junior Championships in 2011 and 2012, MVP in the latter.

ACB and European experience

Since leaving Barça, Paulí has played eight seasons in the Endesa League, six with Gran Canaria where he made 169 appearances and the last two with MoraBanc Andorra where he made 69 appearances.

The man from Girona has played 238 games in the ACB and also has experience of playing Europa, making 29 appearances in the Euroleague for Gran Canaria and 100 between the Canary Island club and Andorra in the Eurocup.

Good year in the Eurocup

Last season in the Eurocup the forward averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists with a rating on 12.1 in 22 minutes on court.

In the ACB Paulí averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebound in 22 minutes per game.

Andrew Harrison joins Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediyesi

Andrew Harrison signed in Turkey with Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediyesi.
The former Kentucky guard played a few games in G League last year.

Harrison has played 145 games in the NBA averaging 7ppg.

His brother Aaron Harrison is still on the market.

Danko Brankovic joins KK Mega on 2-year loan

KK Mega announced the arrival of talented center Danko Branković on a 2-year loan from Bayern Munich.

The Croatian center played for Cibona until the end of last season (9.8 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 1.6 BPG) and then signed a multi-year contract with Bayern Munich.

Kai Sotto remains with Adelaide 36ers

Adelaide 36ers fan favourite Kai Sotto is back for a second season in the NBL.

The 20-year-old will now have another full season to continue his dream of making the NBA, after going undrafted this year.

Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton is excited to have Sotto back for NBL23.

“Kai coming back is huge for us,” Bruton said.

“I think his improvement from last season is only going to get better.

“We expect a rapid rise in Kai this season as he builds toward his dreams.”

The 218cm centre averaged 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in NBL22, and his minutes will increase in NBL23 as he becomes a bigger focus on Bruton’s new-look roster.

“There’s great opportunity for Kai to shine, no doubt about that,” Bruton said.

Illawarra Hawks sign Mangok Mathiang

The Illawarra Hawks have bolstered their front court with the signing of Mangok Mathiang for the 2022/23 season.

Mathiang joins the Hawks following stints in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets, and Europe, most recently signed with Cedevita Olimpija in the Slovenia ABA League.

During his time in Europe, the centre averaged a double double while playing for Vanoli Cremona in the LBA, and Bahceseshir Koleji in the EuroCup.

Illawarra Hawks Head Coach Jacob Jackomas is excited Mathiang will be joining his roster for NBL23.

“Mathiang is known for his physical play, rim protection and high motor, making him a key addition to our squad.”

“His versatility and athleticism really suits the style of play the NBL is headed towards, and will bring a lot of experience to our young core group of players,” Jackomas said.

Mathiang joins Tyler Harvey, Sam Froling, Daniel Grida, Alex Mudronja, Akoldah Gak, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk, Deng Deng and Lachlan Dent on the Illawarra Hawks 2022/23 roster.
