Tyson Ward has signed a new contract through 2024 with Telekom Baskets Bonn.

The North Dakota State product averaged 7 points and 3.7 rebounds in the last BBL season.

 

Tyrus McGee reportedly close to sign with CBA team

Tyrus McGee was among the stars of Hapoel Holon’s excellent year, as the team won the Winner League and reached the semifinals in the BCL.

According to israelhayom, the 31-year-old guard has reportedly received a major offer from China and is close to a deal.

McGee averaged 20 points on 44 percent shooting from long range in the Winner League playoffs.

The Iowa State product ended the regular season with 17 points (49% FG, 44% 3p, 92% FT) and 2.7 assists per game.

Dererk Pardon signs with New Zealand Breakers

The New Zealand Breakers have made official the signing of Dererk Pardon.

Last season, Pardon averaged 14.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, one steal and 1.6 blocks per game in Winner League play for Hapoel Beer Sheva.

According to Mody Maor, his new coach, Pardon ‘plays every possession with the toughness and intensity you only find in the best kiwi athletes’.

 

Baskonia, Valencia among teams reportedly interested in Ziga Samar

According to ElCorreo, Baskonia and Valencia are among the teams that are monitoring Ziga Samar with interest.

The Slovenian point guard has a release clause of around 200,000 euros in his contract with Fuenlabrada.

Samar, a projected second round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, ended last year with 7.6 points (48% FG, 47% 3p, 77% FT), 4.7 assists and 1 steal in 20 minutes per game.

TJ Shorts reportedly in advanced talks with Telekom Baskets Bonn

Telekom Baskets Bonn is in advanced talks with TJ Shorts, Robert Heusel reports.

The point guard spent last season with Crailsheim Merlins, producing 20.6 points, 6.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game in BBL and 17.6 with 6 assists in FIBA Europe Cup.

Johnathan Motley reportedly joining Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce has reached an agreement with Johnathan Motley, according to reporter Yagız Sabuncuoglu.

The power forward will sign a contract for the next two seasons.

Motley averaged 21.2 points and 7 rebounds per game in the last Eurocup with Lokomotiv Kuban, shooting 62 % from the field and 73% from the foul line.

 

Tres Tinkle joins Le Mans

Le Mans announced the arrival of Tres Tinkle on a contract for the upcoming season.

The forward played his first year in Europe with Vanoli Cremona, averaging 12.8 points (47% FG, 38% 3p, 82% FT), 5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in the LBA.

Maccabi Tel Aviv will be in talks with Oded Kattash as reported by Sport5.

Israelian powerhouse already interviewed Katash to replace Ioannis Sfairopoulos this season.

Kattash worked with Maccabi in 2007-2008 season until January 2008.

Also Sale Djordjevic is in the mix, a source told to Sportando.

The Crailsheim Merlins have announced the arrival of Otis Livingston II.

The point guard spent last season in Serbia with KK Mladost Admiral Zemun, scoring 18.5 points with 5.7 assists per game.

Maurice Kemp signs extension with Bnei Herzliya

Maurice Kemp has signed a contract extension until 2024 with Bnei Herzliya, the Israeli team announced.

Last year the forward averaged 13.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

Mike Tobey, Valencia part ways

Valencia Bakset part ways with Mike Tobey so the American center ends his time at the Club once his contract has ended after five seasons as a taronja player. Tobey arrived in Valencia for the first time with a temporary contract to join the team that won the 2016-17 Endesa League championship and after a season at Lenovo Tenerife, he returned to Valencia in the summer of 2018 to play the last four seasons defending the taronja jersey. A journey in which he expanded his achievements with the 2018-19 7DAYS EuroCup championship. Tobey is also the third American player with the most games played in the history of Valencia Basket, with 227 games.

The swingman last year produced 10.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in 8 games (7 wins).

Marvelle Harris signs with Fukuoka Rizing Zephyr

Veteran guard Marvelle Harris signed a contract for the upcoming season with Fukuoka Rizing Zephyr in Japan, his agent Charles Misuraca of SLASH Sports told Sportando.

Harris played this season with the Bakken Bears in Denmark where he won the national championship and was named Finals MVP. He also played 15 games in the FIBA Europe Cup with the Bears, averaging 15.3 points and 2.5 assists.

Harris is not new to Japanese basketball as he previously played with the Kumamoto Volters in 2020-21.

Zenit reportedly asking €3 million buyout for coach Xavi Pascual

According to Moshe Barda of One.co.il, Zenit has asked Maccabi Tel Aviv for a 3 million euro buyout for coach Xavi Pascual.

A Russian source contacted by the reporter said the 49-year-old Spanish coach ‘is not going anywhere’.

The reporter adds that the Israeli team has begun evaluating other options, including Velimir Perasovic and Dusan Alimpijevic.

Xavier Cooks signs 3-year extension with Sydney Kings

The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings are pleased to announce star big man Xavier Cooks has re-signed with the reigning NBL champions for the next three years. 

The 26-year-old is coming off a breakout season where he was a dominant force in NBL22 including winning the finals NBL MVP, All NBL Second Team, Kings Defensive Player of the Year and joint winner of Kings members MVP award. 

Cooks ended the NBL22 with 15.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2 blocks per game,

Lucas Beaufort returns to SIG Strasbourg

SIG Strasbourg has announced the return of Lucas Beaufort.

The 20-year-old guard spent last season on loan in ProB with Aix-Maurienne, where he produced averages of 7.9 points, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 24 minutes.

KK Crvena Zvedza reportedly interested in Filip Petrusev, Kaleb Tarczewski

According to Telesport, KK Crvena Zvedza is on the market to add a center to the roster for the upcoming season.

The two main targets are reportedly Filip Petrusev and Kaleb Tarczewski.

The Serbian big man, whose NBA rights belong to the 76ers, will leave Anadolu Efes after a season where he played less than expected.

Tarczewski does not seem to be part of Olimpia Milano’s future plans.

The former Arizona center played in 24 games in the Italian league this year, producing 6.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in 16 minutes.
