Aaron Henry signed with Betclic Elite team Metropolitans 92.
The American spent last season in G League with Delaware Blue Coats averaging 13 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Henry has also appeared in 6 NBA games for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Rookie Jericole Hellems joins Promitheas

Rookie Jericole Hellems is a new player of Promitheas.

Per EuroCup, Promitheas Patras added depth to its roster with small forward Jericole Hellems who signed a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Hellems (2.01 meters, 22 years old) has spent the last four years playing college basketball at North Carolina State University, and each year he increased his scoring and three-point shooting numbers. Last season he averaged 13.7 points on 39.0% three-point shooting playing 34 minutes per game. He also pulled down 4.6 rebounds along with 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals. Playing with Promitheas will be the first stop in his professional career.

Iman Shumpert arrested at Dallas airport for pot possession

Former NBA player Iman Shumpert has been arrested at Dallas Airport for pot possession (around 170gr).

Per ESPN, The police report from the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety shows police were called to a TSA checkpoint at about 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 and told there was a “sizeable amount of marijuana” found.

The police report says Shumpert told officers that the bag contained marijuana and “asked if there was any way he could make his flight” to Los Angeles, where he was supposed to pick up his daughter. He has two daughters with entertainer Teyana Taylor.

The report says Shumpert also had a magazine with 14 rounds in his backpack but no gun was found.

In 2021 Iman Shumpert won Dancing with the Stars.

Alan Williams joins South East Melbourne Phoenix

South East Melbourne Phoenix is pleased to announce the third and final import signing of ex-NBA centre Alan Williams to a one-year deal.

The 203cm big man grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, playing his college ball at UC Santa Barbara, where he finished his career as the team’s all-time leading rebounder and second all-time leading scorer.

Known for his rebounding and world-class touch around the rim, Williams saw the opportunity to play in Australia as a great move for his career.

“I always heard that Australia was an amazing place to visit, and it happens to be a perfect and upcoming basketball league. I just found it a good opportunity to further my career and touch an area of the globe that I haven’t been to yet. I’m excited,” Williams said about the decision to sign with the Phoenix.

Jeremy Senglin signs with Fuenlabrada

Jeremy Senglin is a new player of Fuenlabrada, as announced by the spanish team.

Last year the guard played in France with Nanterre (11.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, 44% 3P).

Senglin  has two years of experience in ACB with Andorra.

Amar Sylla joins Coosur Real Betis

Amar Sylla has signed a one-year contract with Coosur Real Betis, as announced by the Spanish team.

The big man is coming from a season in Lithuania with Nevezis, where he produced 11.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game in LKL.

Sylla will play under the boards with another promising young center.

Lavrio signs rookie guard Al Durham

The Lavrio announced the signing of rookie guard Al Durham for next season.

Durham ended his senior season at Providence with 13.6 points and 3.4 assists per game.

Filip Petrusev: 76ers have a plan for me and everything is going according to that plan

Serbian forward Filip Petrusev said that the Philadelphia 76ers have a plan for him and that everything is going accordingly.

Per Hoopsrumors (via Mozzartsport),

“I went to the Summer League with Philadelphia, the team that drafted me,” Petrusev said,“Being there, talking to everyone. They have a plan for me and everything is going according to that plan.”

Petrusev added that he didn’t play that much in Las Vegas last month because the Sixers were “focused on other players,” but he appeared in four games for the team, averaging 5.5 PPG, 2.3 RPG, and 1.3 BPG in 12.0 minutes per contest.

After a season with EuroLeague champions of Efes, Filip Petrusev joined Crvena Zvezda.

Mareks Mejeris joins Hapoel Jerusalem

Hapoel Jerusalem announced the signing of Latvian forward Mareks Mejeris (30, 2.07) for the next two years.

Mejeris finished last season in Pesaro averaging 7.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2 assists in 13 games.

 

 

Shanghai Sharks to re-sign Jamaal Franklin

The Shanghai Sharks have reached an agreement to keep Jamaal Franklin one more season.

Franklin will sign a ‘multimillion-dollar’ contract, according to Michael Scotto.

The San Diego State product has been playing in the Chinese league since 2015.

Last season Franklin averaged 15.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 26 minutes.

Tyson Carter Joins Unicaja Malaga on loan from Zenit

Unicaja Malaga has reached an agreement to incorporate the American guard Tyson Carter (24 years old, 1.93 meters) for next season. The player arrives on loan from Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The talented guard spent last year between Zenit and GS Lavrio, where he averaged 17.8 points (60% FG, 48% 3P) and 2.5 assist per game in BCL.

Alpha Kaba pens 2-year deal with Buducnost Voli

Alpha Kaba is a new player of Buducnost Voli.

The French big man was named MVP of last regular season in Turkey with Gaziantep.

Kaba put together averages of 13.6 points (61% FG, 46% FT), 10.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks.

Josh Hawley joins Ratiopharm Ulm

Josh Hawley signed a 2-year contract with Ratiopharm Ulm, the German team announced.

The 25-year-old power forward played in Romania with SCM CSU Craiova last season, scoring 14.7 points with 7.7 rebounds and 2 steals per game.
