Zegarowski comes from a season in Italy with Vanoli Cremona (10.4 points, 2.3 assists in 21 minutes), while Allen spent his rookie year between Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Hustle.

Dragan Bender to join GeVi Napoli

AD Alessandro Dalla Salda revealed to La Repubblica that GeVi Napoli next season will rely on the talent of Dragan Bender, a 26-year-old Croatian power forward who is recovering from a serious knee injury.

“Bender is part of the team philosophy we are building. But to get back on top he needs time, so we may sign a player while waiting for his return.”

Before the injury, in the 2022-23 season the 4th overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft was scoring over 17 points with 6 rebounds per game in ACB with Obradoiro.

Daryl Macon joins Maccabi Tel Aviv

Daryl Macon is a new player for Maccabi Tel Aviv, as announced by the Israeli club.

The guard signed a 1+1 contract.

Macon spent 2023/24 in the CBA with Shenzhen, scoring 18.9 points (41% from three) with 6 assists per game.

The former Arkansas previously played in Euroleague in 2021/22 with Panathinaikos (13 points, 3.6 assists per game).

Joe Thomasson signs with Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria strengthens the backcourt with the signing of Joe Thomasson.

FC Porto inks Toney Douglas

FC Porto has announced the signing of Toney Douglas, a 38-year-old point guard fresh off a successful two-year stint with arch-rivals Benfica.

Last year Douglas averaged 10.1 points, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game in the Portuguese league.

In two seasons with Benfica Douglas helped the club to win two Portuguese championships, a Portuguese Cup, a Hugo dos Santos Cup and a Super Cup.

Hunter Hale reportedly signing with Aek Athens

According to Christos Tsaltas, Aek Athens has reached an agreement with Hunter Hale, an outside back from an excellent year with Promitheas.

 

Under the boards the No.1 target of the Greek team is RaiQuan Gray, a powerful power forward from Florida State who spent a two years in the NBA with Nets and Spurs.

Gray made his mark in the G League with the Austin Spurs: 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals, shooting 59 percent from the field and 74 percent from the foul line.

 

Anwil inks Nick Ongenda

Anwil has announced the signing of center Nick Ongenda.

The former DePaul big man comes from a stint in the Canadian league with the Scarborough Shooting Stars (9.7 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks).

Ongenda previously played the G League season with the Salt Lake City Stars (5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks).

ASVEL reportedly in advanced talks with Theo Maledon

ASVEL is finalizing the last details for the return of Theo Maledon after four seasons in the NBA.

The news was reported by Gabriel Pantel-Jouve.

The 23-year-old point guard was selected by the 76ers with the No. 34 pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, and then traded to the Thunder after a few months.

Maledon produced 10.3 points and 3.4 assists per game as a rookie, numbers that will remain his career highs.

He moved to the Hornets on a Two-Way contract, but without convincing the team enough to grant him a permanent roster spot.

Last year Maledon played 13 games with the Hornets and 4 with the Suns.

Once his return is finalized, ASVEL will look to complete the roster with a big man.

Trent Forrest signs two-year deal with Baskonia

Baskonia announced the arrival of Trent Forrest  with a deal until 2026.

The club has acquired the services of the 1.94m tall American guard, who arrives in Spain after four seasons in NBA between Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks (2.2 PPG, 2.4 APG last year).

With the arrival of Trent Forrest, Baskonia adds a valuable piece to the team that in the coming weeks will start the preseason under the orders of Pablo Laso.

 

Trapani Sharks officially signs Tibor Pleiss

Trapani Shark announces that it has reached an agreement with Tibor Pleiss, a 218 cm and 122 kg German center from Anadolu Efes (Turkey).

PROFILE

Tibor Pleiss, born on November 2, 1989, in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, is a modern center known for his impressive height and outside shooting ability.

He started his youth career with RheinEnergie Köln, making his professional debut in the 2006/07 season. From the beginning, Pleiss showed enormous potential, emerging as one of the best talents in German basketball.

After his beginnings in Germany, Pleiss played for various prestigious European clubs, including Brose Bamberg, with whom he won three consecutive German championships from 2010 to 2012. During the 2011/12 season, he averaged 10.1 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game in the Bundesliga.

Subsequently, Pleiss signed with Saski Baskonia in Spain, where he played for two seasons (2012-2014). In the 2014/15 season, he moved to FC Barcelona, averaging 5.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague.

In 2015, Pleiss embarked on an NBA adventure, signing with the Utah Jazz. During the 2015/16 season, he played 10 games, averaging 2.4 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, also spending time in the D-League with the Idaho Stampede.

After his overseas experience, Pleiss returned to Europe, signing with Galatasaray in Turkey for the 2016/17 season. He continued his European career with Valencia Basket (2017-2018) and finally with Anadolu Efes, where he has been playing since 2018. With Anadolu Efes, Pleiss achieved significant success, winning the EuroLeague in 2021 and 2022.

In the 2022/23 season, Pleiss averaged 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in the EuroLeague.

In the 2023/24 season, Tibor Pleiss played 23 games with Anadolu Efes in the EuroLeague, averaging 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, with an excellent field goal percentage of 52.3%, an exceptional three-point accuracy of 43.5%, and a free throw accuracy of 88.9%.

Pleiss has also been a pillar of the German national team, representing his country in numerous international competitions, including the European Championships and World Championships.

His personal trophy case includes: 2 EuroLeague titles, 3 German championships, 3 Turkish championships, 4 German Cups, 1 Turkish Cup, 2 German Super Cups, 1 Spanish Super Cup, and 3 President’s Cups.

GeVi Napoli interested in former NBA forward Dragan Bender

Trapani Shark targets Tibor Pleiss

The Trapani Shark is looking to sign an experienced pivot to complete its roster and has set its sights on Tibor Pleiss.

GeVi Napoli reportedly close to a deal with Kevin Pangos

GeVi Napoli has chosen Kevin Pangos as their new point guard in order to confirm their position among the protagonists of Serie A. The agreement between the Neapolitan club and the Canadian point guard is said to be in its final details.

The Canadian director with Slovenian passport, who did not shine in the last two seasons with Olimpia Milano and Valencia, has been selected to lead coach Igor Milicic’s team.
