Uncertain Future for Xoan Peñarroya at Baskonia After Loss to Malaga

The future of Xoan Peñarroya as the head coach of the Baskonia basketball team is uncertain, especially following the recent loss against Malaga. However, Peñarroya seems to be unfazed about his position, despite reports in Spain suggesting Dusko Ivanovic as a possible successor.

“I’m not worried; I’m calm regarding the possibility of being fired or not. The team needs to be more stable. I say this because I work with a great group of players. If I were concerned about every criticism, then I would already be hanging from a tree,” Peñarroya stated.

“We are still in October, and the season has just begun. I will continue to work hard as I have always done in my career. If you have come today for my funeral, there is no such thing. I am quite calm at this moment,” he added.

“My communication with the players is excellent. At this moment, there is neither my funeral nor that of Baskonia. If the losses are not affecting the players now, then there is no problem here,” he concluded.
