Frankie Ferrari joins Slask Wroclaw

Frankie Ferrari is a new player of Slask Wroclaw, as announced by the Polish club.

The 27-year-old point guard last year produced 6.2 points and 3.4 assists per game in ACB with Manresa and Zaragoza.

Ferrari signed an agreement until the end of the season.

 

Nikola Jovanovic joins Antwerp Giants

Nikola Jovanovic is a new player of the Antwerp Giants, as announced by the Belgian team.

The Serbian big man will replace the injured Asbjorn Midtgaard.

Jovanovic ended the 2022/23 season with Telenet BC Oostende, producing 12 points and 6.2 rebounds in 19 minutes per game.

 

 

Nemanja Bjelica to reportedly retire due to injuries

Despite one of the most discussed move of the offseason, from Fenerbahce to Crvena Zvezda, Serbian veteran forward Nemanja Bjelica is ready to retire as a player according to Teleport.

Belgrade side previously announced that Bjelica is out for the team’s first games to a calf injury, and the player has reportedly rethink his future opting to retire instead. Bjelica averaged 2.7 ppg in just 7 Euroleague games last season for Fenerbahce.

The 22-year-old French point guard, the No.58 pick of the 2022 NBA Draft, has signed a two-year deal.

Ignas Brazdeikis confirms his imminent move to Olympiacos

Only the official announcement is missing for Ignas Brazdeikis’ move to Olympiacos.

The Lithuanian forward, still under contract with Zalgiris Kaunas, did not played in the friendly against Red Star.

“That’s the plan, to get on the plane and go to Greece tomorrow. Some details still remain to be finalised,” the former Orlando Magic forward said to COSMOTE TV (Via Eurohoops).

Brazdeikis is looking forward to joining the Greek team: ‘Bartzokas is a great coach, a legend. We had a good talk. I am looking forward to playing for him. Olympiacos has a good system, I think I will fit in without any problems and I will be able to do whatever is asked of me.”

The Michigan product made his Euroleague debut last season, scoring 11.6 points in 22 minutes per game.

Olympiacos will pay Zalgiris a buyout of €500,000, reports SDNA.

Sergio Scariolo reportedly evaluating to sue Virtus Bologna president Massimo Zanetti

Former Virtus Bologna head coach Sergio Scariolo is reportedly evaluating to sue his former employer, team president and owner Massimo Zanetti, for saying that he held talks with Real Madrid earlier this summer, according to Spanish outlet Relevo.

In Luca Banchi’s press conference, Zanetti lashed out at Scariolo saying he undervalued Virtus Bologna by holding talks with Toronto Raptors and Real Madrid. Vanoli Cremona reportedly reached an agreement with Marcus Zegarowski

Cremona has reached an agreement with the combo guard Marcus Zegarowski, 25 years old, to fill the void left by the early departure of Jordan Bone.

Zegarowski, selected at number 49 in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets, will arrive in Europe for the first time after three seasons at Creighton University, where he averaged 14.1 points with a 42% three-point shooting from 2018 to 2021.

In the last season, he played in the G League with the Nets, Bulls, and especially the Spurs, where he averaged 8.7 points with 2.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

The player is known for his perimeter skills and will fit into Vanoli Cremona’s playing system.
