Avtodor Saratov, Ben Emelogu part ways

Basketball club Avtodor and Ben Emelogu have decided to terminate the contract by the mutual agreement of the parties involved.
In the only games for Avtodor in the VTB United League against Parma, the 25-year-old American forward scored 6 points and made 2 steals in 19:35 minutes.

Fortitudo Bologna reportedly expected to sign Wesley Saunders if he parts ways with Monaco

Fortitudo Bologna is seriously pursuing Wesley Saunders, according to Il Corriere di Bologna.
The American guard/forward spent the past two seasons with Vanoli Cremona, under coach Sacchetti, who moved to Fortitudo in the summer, before moving to Monaco.

With the Jeep Elite and EuroCup team Saunders did not fit perfectly and recently he was not in the game against Virtus Bologna in EuroCup.

If he parts ways with Monaco, he is likely to join Fortitudo Bologna for the remainder of the season.

Oliver Stevic returns to Urbas Fuenlabrada

Urbas Fuenabrada have reached an agreement with Serbian player Oliver Stevic.

The big man played for the spanish team in the 2015/16 season.

Stevic spent last year between ACB (Divina Seguros Joventut and San Pablo Burgos) and ABA Liga.

Maccabi Haifa showing interest in Charles Mitchell

Maccabi Haifa is considering making a move on the market to add some frontcourt depth, as reported by Israel Hayom. Among others, the Israeli team has shown interest in big man Charles Mitchell, a source told Sportando.

Mitchell recently terminated his contract with Niigata Albirex of the Japanese league. Last season, he averaged 18.5 points and 12 rebounds per game for Bank of Taiwan. He holds two seasons of European basketball experience with New Heroes Den Bosch in Holland and BK Olomoucko in the Czech Republic, averaging a double-double in both years.

Jovan Kljajic extends with Gran Canaria, goes on loan to Bilbao

CB Gran Canaria announced that Jovan Kljajic has signed a contract extension with the team till 2025.

The player will continue the season on loan in Bilbao.

 

Ilkan Karaman signs with Antibes Sharks

Turkish forward Ilkan Karaman has signed a contract with the Antibes Sharks in the French Pro B, the team announced.

Karaman spent last season in the French Jeep Elite, averaging 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per game for Cholet Basket.

Karaman was an NBA second-round pick in 2012 and his draft rights are currently held by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Jeremy Pargo reportedly in advanced talks with BC Dnipro

Veteran point guard Jeremy Pargo is in advanced talks on a deal with BC Dnipro of the FIBA Europe Cup and Ukrainian Superleague, according to Oleksandr Proshuta.

Pargo, 34, spent most of the 2019-20 season in the NBA G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 17.2 points and six assists per game. He got a call-up from the Golden State Warriors and appeared in three NBA games for them in February.

Pargo has played 86 games in the NBA and 87 games in the EuroLeague.

Amedeo Della Valle reportedly asked his agent to leave CB Gran Canaria

According to La Provincia, Amedeo Della Valle asked his agent to leave CB Gran Canaria.

Della Valle did not play the ACB game against Unicaja Malaga as well as Javier Beiran.
Della Valle also played the first five minutes in loss against Estudiantes and was put on the court again by the coach when Movistar was already leading by 20, in garbage time.

The two players had several clashes with coach Porfi Fisac.

After the game the coach said that he did not use the two players due to some physical problems but La Provincia reveals that both Beiran and Della Valle were out for technical reasons.

CB Gran Canaria had a difficult start of the season with only one win in six ACB games.

Virtus Roma reportedly missed first payment of the season, players ready to strike

Big problems in Virtus Roma. The Italian team is the only club in Serie A without a main sponsor and is facing some financial difficulties.

The owner Claudio Toti is trying to sell the club but all the negotiations fell apart, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The player did not get the first salary (September 30) and are ready to strike if they won’t be paid soon. The players and the staffs don’t have their apartments yet and they are living in a residence.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport Dario Hunt already requested to be traded and if the situation won’t be resolved anytime soon, Virtus Roma will request to withdraw from Serie A season leaving the league with 15 teams.

Urbas Fuenlabrada: Javi Juarez is the new coach

Javi Juárez becomes Urbas Fuenlabrada coach until the end of the season thanks to the agreement signed today.

He has already conducted his first work session this afternoon.

Fuenlabrada also agreed to part ways with Vyacheslav Bobrov.

Johnny O’Bryant to Crvena Zvezda is a done deal

Johnny O’Bryant has just signed a deal for the season with KK Crvena Zvezda, a source told Sportando.
The American PF will return to EuroLeague where he has played with Maccabi Tel Aviv before moving to Lokomotiv Kuban in the summer of 2019.
O’Bryant re-signed with the Russian powerhouse during the summer but he left to some personal reasons.

Silvio de Sousa leaves Kansas Jayhawks for personal reasons

Silvio de Sousa announced he is leaving Kansas’ basketball program due to personal issues.

Jayhawks head coach Bill Self said that it became clear in recent workouts that de Sousa was distracted, and after the two of them talked recently, “it was clear this was the best decision for him and Kansas basketball to leave the program.”

De Sousa said in a statement on social media that he is unsure what direction his career will take him.

Maurice Ndour reportedly expected to sign with Rytas Vilnius

Senegalese power forward Maurice Ndour is expected to sign a contract with Rytas Vilnius of the Basketball Champions League and Lithuanian LKL, according to Donatas Urbonas.

Ndour spent last season with Valencia Basket, averaging 6.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 15 minutes per game in the EuroLeague and Spanish Liga ACB.

Ndour played 32 games in the NBA with the New York Knicks in 2016-17.

Kristian Doolittle signs with Vaqueros de Bayamon

Rookie forward Kristian Doolittle signed his first professional contract with Vaqueros de Bayamon in Puerto Rico, the team announced.

Doolittle played college basketball at Oklahoma University. He was named to the All-Big 12 First Team in his senior year as he averaged 15.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.3 steals per game for the Sooners.
