Ian Miller reportedly joining Cholet

American guard Ian Miller is close to joining Cholet Basket, as reported by Théo Quintard of Ouest France. Miller last played for Promitheas Patras, where he averaged 15.6 points per game in the EuroCup.

This will be his third club in France, after previously playing for Gravelines-Dunkerque and Roanne.

Kassius Robertson Returns to the River Lions

The Niagara River Lions announced today the re-signing of 6’3 guard, Kassius Robertson for the 2021 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season. Robertson is currently playing for Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro in the Liga Endesa in Spain.

The Toronto native has been part of the River Lions since the inaugural CEBL season in 2019, but only had a brief stint of seven games with the team before being invited to play for the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Summer League. During the 2020 CEBL Summer Series, while suited up for a second season with the River Lions, Robertson averaged 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

With Monbus Obradoiro, Robertson is currently averaging 14.4 points and 2.5 assists per game. He was named Canada Basketball’s Player of the week this past October, as well as voted Player of the Month (MVP) of the team for the month of December after scoring 37 points in one game and setting a new club record in points scored.

David Kramer joins Bayern Munich

The Bayern Basketball team has become active on the transfer market: David Kramer, former BBL pro in Ulm and most recently under contract in the NBA G-League, has signed with the Munich team until the end of the season. The 24-year-old German-Austrian, who had a stint in the the German national team just over two years ago, is already in Munich and has completed the obligatory tests. The guard will wear jersey number 3.

Born in Slovakia, Kramer has German citizenship (his father is German-Slovakian) but initially grew up in Austria, where he also played for the national U16 team. In Ulm, his initial focus was on the ProB team (Weißenhorn, now OrangeAcademy), which he helped lead to the championship in 2016/2017 as “youngster of the season.” In the following year, he scored just under 17 points per game in the ProA and, in parallel, finally gained a foothold in the BBL squad.

For the German teams, he played in the 2015 European U18 Championship and the 2017 European U20 Championship (12.3 ppg, 7th place). In the senior national team, he made his only appearance so far against Estonia in December 2018.
