Lakers assistant Jason Kidd an option for UNLV

Hall of Famer and Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd has emerged as a candidate of interest for the UNLV coaching job, reports Sam Gordon of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

The Rebels are intrigued by Kidd as a potential replacement for T.J. Otzelberger, according to people with knowledge of the situation. Kidd was reportedly interested in the job in 2019, when Otzelberger was ultimately appointed. There’s a belief that Kidd could be still interested today.

Austin Price joins Ironi Ness Ziona

Austin Price is a new player of Ironi Ness Ziona, the israeli team announced.
The guard signed a one-month contract, with an option to extend until the end of the season.
Price started the season in the second Israeli Division with Maccabi Raanana, where he averaged 17.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

JL Bourg announces Laurent Legname as new head coach for the 2021/22 season

JL Bourg signed a three-year contract with Laurent Legname, who will be the team’s head coach next season.
Legname, currently at JDA Dijon, will replace Savo Vucevic.

Several NBA teams interested in Walter Tavares, the big man wants to stay with Real Madrid

According to Defensa Central, Walter Tavares’ performance this season has not gone unnoticed in the NBA, and several NBA teams would be interested in bringing the big man back to America.

Defensa Central adds that Tavares would have promised the blancos that he plans to stay in Madrid next season.

The big man, who has played 2 seasons in NBA, this year is averaging 11.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks over 58 games between Euroleague and ACB.

Brad Stevens “flattered” by interest from Indiana Hoosiers

Brad Stevens has been mentioned as a candidate for the recent vacancy at Indiana University. Stevens left Butler to become head coach of the Boston Celtics in 2013.

“It means a lot,” Stevens said of the groundswell of support for him. “It means a lot. I know that … listen, I’ve got a lot of friends back there. I’ve got a lot of people that are really important to me there. My dad’s still there. That does mean a lot. I won’t act like that doesn’t. Like I said earlier today, it’s flattering. But I also realize that I’m the coach of the Celtics: it’s been an amazing opportunity, an amazing challenge every day for the last eight years and I’m extremely grateful for that.”

Obie Trotter joins Benacquista Latina

Obie Trotter is a new player of Benacquista Latina, the italian team announced.

The veteran guard signed a contract until the end of the season.

Trotter started the year in the Polish league with Twarde Pierniki Torun, with averages of 11.1 points, 4.7 assist and 1.9 steals in 27 games.

Levi Randolph joining New Zealand Breakers

Levi Randolph has reached an agreement with the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian NBL, sources told Sportando. The deal includes an NBA-out clause.

Randolph has played in the NBA G League this season with the Canton Charge, averaging 12.9 points, 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

He was called up to the Cleveland Cavaliers last year briefly on Two Way Contract. Has played for the Canton Charge for 3 season and has also played in Avellino, Sassari and Strasbourg, France.

Maccabi Tel Aviv reportedly interested in Jaleen Smith

Maccabi Tel Aviv is working to build the roster for next season and, according to One.co.il and Orazio Cauchi, is monitoring MHP RIESEN Ludwisburg guard Jaleen Smith.

Smith is averaging 17.6 points alongside 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals in Bundesliga, shooting 46% from the field, 35% from beyond the arc and 91% from the foul line.
