Roma SPQR is making its first international additions to its new project. According to SuperBasket, the Italian club has reached agreements with Jesse Edwards and Gerald Ayayi, two players expected to strengthen the roster for the upcoming season.
Edwards, a 26-year-old Dutch center who developed through the American college system, finished the 2025–26 campaign in the EuroLeague with Baskonia after averaging 13.9 points and 8.5 rebounds for Melbourne United. He is also set to play for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Roma has also secured Gerald Ayayi, a 24-year-old French guard coming off a career spent entirely in France with Pau-Orthez and Cholet. He averaged 14.4 points and 2.9 assists last season and is now set for his first experience abroad.
