Smits leaves the EuroLeague after eight consecutive seasons to begin a new chapter in the CBA
Experienced Latvian power forward Rolands Smits has reached an agreement with the Ningbo Rockets.
The news was reported by Donatas Urbonas.
The 31-year-old is set to leave the EuroLeague after eight consecutive seasons in the competition — four with Barcelona, two with Zalgiris Kaunas and two with Anadolu Efes — to begin a new chapter in the CBA.
Smits averaged 6.7 points (50% FG, 32% 3P) and 3.1 rebounds in 19 minutes per game last season.
