RJ Barrett has no intention of leaving the Knicks or New York. Barrett, however, is pleased to be returning home to play in Toronto if a trade has to be made.

Barrett was up in the Toronto region and is a key member of the Canadian National Team. He reportedly thinks the Raptors are a fantastic fit for him.

Precious Achiuwa, Malachi Flynn, and OG Anunoby were traded to Toronto in exchange for Barrett and Immanuel Quickley from the New York Knicks.

Barrett participated in Canada’s 2023 FIBA World Cup bronze medal winning team. Barrett averaged 16.8 points and five rebounds per game throughout the tournament.

Now that the Raptors are rebuilding, the 6-foot-6 wing will head back home to contribute significantly. Barrett is anticipated to make his Toronto debut as soon as the deal is completed and both parties have completed their physicals.
