Andersson García is a new Río Breogán player. The Galician club announced an agreement with the 25-year-old, 2.01-meter Dominican forward, strengthening its frontcourt with a physical profile and strong upside.
García developed at Mississippi State and Texas A&M, where in his final NCAA season he averaged 6.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 38.6% from three. After joining Marineros de Puerto Plata, he was named Rookie of the Year in the Dominican league.
Last season he played in the G League with the Mexico City Capitanes, averaging 10.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 39 games, before appearing in 5 NBA games with the Utah Jazz. Breogán adds energy, rebounding and defensive versatility.
