Ricky Rubio is returning to Joventut Badalona, the team where he began his professional career in 2005. According to journalist Xavi Ballesteros, the agreement was finalized on Friday during a dinner with sporting director Jordi Martí, head coach Dani Miret, and owner Tomàs Dauder.
After a year away from the game to focus on mental health, Rubio is ready to play again. He previously played four seasons with Badalona before moving to FC Barcelona in 2009 and then to the NBA in 2011. Now, he’s back where it all started.
