Umana Reyer Venezia have announced the signing of Glynn Watson Jr. for the 2026-27 season. The 183 cm American point guard, born in Chicago on March 9, 1997, joins the orogranata roster as the team’s new floor general.
After his NCAA career with Nebraska, Watson Jr. built his European path across Greece, Iceland, Poland, Lithuania, Germany and France. He stood out in the Basketball Champions League with Bonn and later had a strong Betclic ELITE season with Gravelines-Dunkerque, averaging 16.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
Last season, Watson Jr. played in EuroLeague with LDLC ASVEL, averaging 14.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists over 30 games. His excellent campaign in France was also rewarded with a 2026 French League All-Star Game selection.
