Sergio Scariolo’s team beats Valencia with a high-level offensive performance

Real Madrid beat Valencia Basket 105-90 to reach the final against Olympiacos: top scorers were Mario Hezonja with 25 points, Trey Lyles with 17, and Gabriel Deck with 16.

Valencia started well and led 28-26 after the first quarter, with Pradilla, Reuvers, Key, Taylor and Montero all involved.

Madrid changed rhythm in the second period: Feliz, Garuba, Okeke and Campazzo fueled an impressive 11-of-19 from three at halftime, sending the blancos ahead 62-56.

In the third quarter, Scariolo’s team controlled tempo and offensive rebounds, stretching the lead to 86-73 before the final break.

Valencia tried one last push through Reuvers, cutting it to 80-88, but Madrid stayed composed and closed it out despite Garuba’s injury early in the fourth quarter.
