Pedro Martínez spoke to Realmadrid TV after the victory over Unicaja, which saw Real Madrid crowned champions of the 15th edition of the Costa del Sol Tournament.
“Every game is different. Yesterday, against La Laguna Tenerife, there were some defensive adjustments that we didn’t execute very well, while today there were different ones because the opponent is different. That doesn’t mean that we have solved all the problems we had yesterday. It doesn’t work like that. We have to keep working and I think we had a better rhythm today”.
“The players are understanding the importance of coming in and giving 100 percent on every play, being dangerous on offense, aggressive on defense… But there are still many things to improve and we are on the right path. We have to be optimistic because the team is working well, but we must also avoid thinking that everything is already done”.
Next week
“We mustn’t take anything for granted. We have to try to get three good practices in before the next game, remain humble, work hard and, above all, focus on improving”.
