Real Madrid have officially announced their separation from Mario Hezonja. The Spanish club and the Croatian forward reached an agreement to bring his time with the team to an end.
Hezonja joined Real Madrid in the 2022-23 season and won six titles over four campaigns: one EuroLeague, two Spanish League championships, one Copa del Rey and two Supercups. The club wished him and his family all the best in the next stage of their lives.
Real Madrid’s announcement comes after Hezonja’s signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers was completed and listed on the NBA’s public transactions log. The Croatian forward now returns to the NBA after a successful spell in European basketball.
