The Spanish club is targeting the former Fenerbahce forward to strengthen the power forward position

Real Madrid is in advanced talks with Mikael Jantunen. According to Eurohoops, the Spanish club is targeting the Finnish forward, who was recently released by Fenerbahce.

Following Trey Lyles’ departure, Real Madrid is looking to reinforce the power forward position, and Jantunen appears to be one of the chosen profiles. The 26-year-old had also been linked to Valencia Basket after the end of his stint in Istanbul.

In his season with Fenerbahce, Jantunen averaged 6.4 points and 4 rebounds over 36 games under Sarunas Jasikevicius. Real Madrid continues to build a roster that looks very different from last season’s.
