Real Madrid are expected to reaffirm their long-term commitment to the EuroLeague and transition from a licensed club to a permanent franchise.

According to BasketNews, the decision is not expected to be affected by the recent front-office overhaul, with Juan Carlos Sanchez taking over the top basketball leadership role and Sergio Rodriguez, Martynas Pocius and Paco Robles stepping down.

Real Madrid had been viewed as one of the last major question marks among the 13 EuroLeague shareholder clubs, especially amid interest from the NBA Europe project. The next key step will be the June 26 Board meeting, which is expected to shape the 2026-27 season lineup.
