Real Madrid are closing in on another backcourt addition. According to journalist Oscar Herreros, the Spanish giants are close to reaching an agreement with 24-year-old Ukrainian guard Max Shulga.
Shulga spent the 2025-26 season in the Boston Celtics organization, playing for the Maine Celtics in the NBA G League, where he impressed with several strong performances. He is currently showcasing his talent with the Golden State Warriors during the NBA Summer League.
The guard became a free agent at the end of June after the Celtics declined to extend him a qualifying offer, paving the way for a return to Europe, with Real Madrid now appearing to be his most likely destination.
