Real Madrid beats Andorra after controversial call on Kuric’s buzzer-beater

Kuric’s apparent game-tying three downgraded to two after video review, sealing the win for Real

Dramatic scenes in Liga Endesa as Kyle Kuric hit what looked like a game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer for MoraBanc Andorra against Real Madrid. Initially ruled a triple, the basket was later reviewed and counted as a two-point shot, handing Real a 98-97 win.

The footage was inconclusive to many viewers, but the referees felt confident enough to overturn their original decision. “There are angles where it looks like he stepped on the line, others where he didn’t,” said Joan Plaza, head coach of Andorra. “I won’t comment further.”
