Real Madrid defeated Olympiacos 93-89 in Abu Dhabi to become the first EuroLeague SuperCup champions.
Madrid made a fast start and led 24-15 after the opening quarter. Olympiacos responded and moved five points ahead in the third, but Real regained control before holding firm in the closing possessions.
Pedro Martínez’s team dominated the rebounding battle 44-30 and recorded 31 assists. Six Madrid players scored in double figures, led by Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot’s 12 points, while Jaime Pradilla, Mikael Jantunen and Andrés Feliz added 11 each.
Sasha Vezenkov scored 22 points for Olympiacos, with Evan Fournier adding 14 and Donta Hall 13. Real Madrid also earned revenge for last season’s EuroLeague championship-game defeat.
