Rafa Villar strengthens Baskonia’s point guard position with a three-year deal after three seasons at Hiopos Lleida

Baskonia has announced the signing of Rafa Villar, 21, for the next three seasons, betting on the growth of one of Spain’s most promising young point guards.

Villar, developed in FC Barcelona’s youth system, spent the last three seasons with Hiopos Lleida, finishing the latest Liga Endesa campaign averaging 8.8 PIR in 19 minutes across 34 games.

The Catalan guard, who has already debuted with Spain’s national team, will bring identity and fresh energy to Vitoria-Gasteiz as Baskonia strengthens its young core ahead of the upcoming season.
