Quinten Post has signed a three-year offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies that could be worth up to $30 million. According to The Athletic, only the first year of the deal is fully guaranteed at $9 million.
The 26-year-old center played 67 games for the Golden State Warriors last season, averaging 7.7 points and 4.0 rebounds. Despite drawing praise from Steve Kerr at different points of the year, Post appeared to fall out of the rotation late in the season.
The Warriors have until midnight ET Tuesday to match the offer, but doing so would be complicated. Re-signing Post at that number would prevent Golden State from using its non-taxpayer midlevel exception, while the franchise continues to hope for a possible LeBron James addition alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
