Qatar lands Kendrick Nunn as naturalized player for 2027 World Cup

Kendrick Nunn will become Qatar’s naturalized player for the 2027 FIBA World Cup, which will be held in Doha.

According to SPORT24, the Qatar basketball federation worked in secrecy and convinced Nunn with an eight-figure financial offer, also beating competition from Turkey.

Nunn, 31, is set to become Qatar’s main attraction for the tournament. In the latest EuroLeague season, he averaged 18.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1 steal over 37 games.
