James L. Edwards of The Athletic says that league sources told him this year that it was “very unlikely” the Pistons would extend that offer, eventually turning Maker into an unrestricted free agent.
Maker averaged 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game this season.
