The Phoenix guard will miss the season opener, coach Jordan Ott confirms
Jalen Green will be sidelined for at least 10 days after re-aggravating his left hamstring strain during the Suns’ trip to China, ruling him out for the season opener.
“We all know soft tissue injuries are tough to read,” said coach Jordan Ott. “It’s frustrating, but thankfully we caught it early. It’s not serious.”
Green will be re-evaluated next week, with the Suns optimistic he can return early in the regular season to strengthen their backcourt rotation.
The restricted free agent remains in a contract standoff with Detroit, with the deadline to accept the qualifying offer approaching.
