At the end of training camp, the Phoenix Suns decided to keep Jordan Goodwin.
The former Lakers combo guard managed to convince the coaching staff and secure the fourteenth spot on the roster. Goodwin, known primarily for his defensive skills, averaged 5.6 points and 3.4 rebounds last season in Los Angeles.
Jared Butler, Goodwin’s main competitor for a roster spot, was waived instead.
The Italian coach returns to the NBA as a consultant, while Jason Love and Sergi Oliva also join the organization
The former Portland Trail Blazers center adds frontcourt depth while Mark Williams recovers from shoulder surgery
The 38-year-old veteran has drawn interest from the Utah Jazz but would prefer to sign with a team capable of competing for the NBA championship
The reigning champions have added several experienced players to compete for the final two roster spots, including former NBA champion Bruce Brown on the wing.
The veteran point guard will attend training camp and compete for a place on Sacramento’s final roster
