The Philadelphia 76ers could make a major front-office change after another NBA playoff exit in the second round.
According to Howard Eskin, Daryl Morey’s position is now under serious scrutiny.
The Sixers’ president of basketball operations is reportedly the subject of internal discussions, with the organization considering firing or replacing him. Morey joined Philadelphia in 2020, but the team has never advanced past the second round of the playoffs during his tenure.
The report points to disappointing results, draft picks, trades and signings that have not met expectations. Eskin later added that more sources told him Morey is “all but done” with the franchise.
For the 76ers, this could mark the start of a pivotal offseason after another year without a Conference Finals appearance. The future of the basketball operations structure may become the first major decision.
