The Philadelphia 76ers could limit LeBron James and Joel Embiid to around 30 minutes per game during the opening weeks of the new NBA season. According to ESPN insider Shams Charania, that is the team’s current hope as it prepares for the start of the campaign.
“My understanding is LeBron James, Joel Embiid the hope is within the first few weeks of the season limit them to around 30 minutes a game,” Charania said on The Pat McAfee Show.
The insider also noted that sacrifices will be required from all of Philadelphia’s stars to help the team operate the way it wants. Managing their workloads could therefore be an important part of the 76ers’ approach early in the season.
