Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George suffered a hyperextended left knee during the second quarter of Monday’s preseason win over Atlanta, ESPN reports.

George, who signed a four-year max contract as a free agent, was injured while defending Hawks forward Jalen Johnson.

“Hopefully, he’ll be OK,” coach Nick Nurse said. George said he isn’t too concerned. Philadelphia has already ruled out Joel Embiid for the remainder of the preseason.
