Philadelphia 76ers: No De’Anthony Melton in Game 1 against New York Knicks

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without De'Anthony Melton for Game 1 against the New York Knicks due to back problems.

Bad news for the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of Game 1 of the 2023-2024 NBA Playoffs against the New York Knicks. As announced by coach Nick Nurse, De’Anthony Melton will miss the first game of the series against the Knicks due to back problems. However, the player has not been ruled out for the entire series, so there is hope to see him on the court in not too many days.

Melton has played in only 38 games this season and the Sixers have won 65 percent of the time with him on the floor. In the regular season, Melton averaged 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Game 1 will be played between Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 at 00:00 CET.
