The Philadelphia 76ers have hired Scott Layden as a scout, sources told HoopsHype. Layden most recently worked in the same role for the Sacramento Kings, adding another chapter to his extensive NBA résumé.

He previously served as general manager for the Timberwolves and Knicks, assistant GM with the Spurs, and a longtime executive for the Utah Jazz.

Layden’s arrival bolsters the Sixers’ front office as they continue to strengthen their scouting and talent evaluation department.
