Pedro Martinez confirmed to AS that Real Madrid are close to completing their roster with Nick Smith Jr. “He is coming. He must arrive, undergo his medical examinations and then be officially announced.”
The coach stressed that the young American will need time to adjust to European basketball. “He has no experience outside his country, and we must help him understand that things are different here.”
Martinez also played down individual expectations: “Let’s not expect one player to score 35 points every game. We want a cohesive, unpredictable team that does not depend on one or two players.”
