Partizan Belgrade are in advanced talks to sign veteran guard Nick Calathes from AS Monaco, according to BasketNews. Monaco have agreed to part ways with the 36-year-old, who has not featured in any EuroLeague games this season under coach Vassilis Spanoulis.

Calathes, still under contract through 2026, averaged 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists last year as Monaco reached the EuroLeague final. He appeared in three French League games this season, logging 12 minutes per game.

Following Carlik Jones’ injury, Partizan accelerated talks, identifying Calathes as a key addition to provide leadership and control. After acquiring Bruno Fernando from Real Madrid, Calathes’ arrival would further strengthen Zeljko Obradovic’s roster.
