Partizan president says that “we are ready” if a Euroleague vacancy appears

Speaking to Sport Club, Partizan Belgrade president Ostoja Mijailovic has confirmed that the Serbian powerhouse is ‘ready’ to join Euroleague if a spot becomes available after Panathinaikos stunning decision to inform Euroleague Basketball on its intention to exit the competition.

“It’s an opportune moment and Partizan doesn’t want to stand between EuroLeague and Panathinaikos. Let them solve the problem first, if they have one, and we will see about the rest. In [last week] letter we sent to Bertomeu, we wrote about our intentions and our goal, there is nothing to discuss. We have repeated several times that we are ready, nothing has changed”, Mijailovic said.
