The Italian point guard spoke to Partizan TV about reuniting with his former Virtus Bologna teammate, his role on the team and his connection with Sasha Djordjevic.

Alessandro Pajola spoke to Partizan TV about several topics, starting with Luca Vildoza, whom he has reunited with in Belgrade, before discussing his role on the team and coach Djordjevic. Here is an excerpt from his comments, as reported by Pianetabasket.

On Vildoza.
“We have been playing against each other for many years, and it is important to me that Luka is here as well, as I was his teammate last season. We already know each other both off the court and on it, and we have already built some chemistry. Vildoza is an incredible passer and player, as well as a scorer. We have only been together for a few weeks, but they are all good guys.”

His role within Joan Peñarroya’s team.
“The role can always change. I’m simply here to help the team and try to win as many games as possible. I’m available to the coach and the coaching staff to do whatever they ask of me. In modern basketball, there are no longer specific roles like there used to be. Everything changes day by day, and you have to be ready to adapt. I’m here to give 100% in any case, whether that means 30 minutes on the court or five.”

On Djordjevic.
“I still remember when we played against Partizan in the EuroCup. I will never forget that atmosphere. The way they were chanting Djordjevic’s name was incredible, it was something special. He spoke to me many times about both basketball and the atmosphere here.”
