Lonnie Walker IV appears to be nearing the end of his stint with Maccabi Tel Aviv. According to Tomer Givati of Israel Hayom, the player and the Israeli club are working toward a mutual separation.
Among the teams interested in the American guard, Partizan Belgrade are believed to be the frontrunner. Dubai Basketball and Real Madrid have also been linked with Walker, with all three clubs set to compete in EuroLeague next season.
Walker, the No. 18 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, finished the 2024-25 season with the Philadelphia 76ers after European stops with Zalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi. He reportedly met with several NBA teams during Las Vegas Summer League before his July 15 opt-out deadline, but with no NBA opportunity materializing, Europe now appears to be his most realistic path.
