Paris Basketball finalizing deal with Alize Johnson, according to BasketNews

The American forward brings five seasons of NBA experience after stops in the G League, China and Puerto Rico

Paris Basketball are finalizing a deal to sign Alize Johnson for the 2026-27 season. According to Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews, the French club is close to adding the American forward as another former NBA player to Max Lefevre’s roster.

Johnson, 30, played five NBA seasons with the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs. His best NBA season came with the Nets in 2020-21, when he averaged 5.2 points and 5 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game.

During the second half of the 2025-26 season, Johnson played for the Shenzhen Leopards, averaging 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 63.1 percent from two-point range and helping the team reach the CBA semifinals. Before moving to China, he averaged 19.0 points, 11.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists with the Iowa Wolves in the G League, establishing himself as one of the league’s most productive bigs.
