Italian basketball federation president Gianni Petrucci is still confident Paolo Banchero will play for Italbasket at the next FIBA Basketball World Cup.
“We are doing the impossible. I still say 60% yes. Trainotti (the technical director) and Pozzecco (the coach) did a great job” Petrucci told Tuttosport.
In December they have met with Banchero in the USA.
The Magic rookie got the Italian passport and may make his debut for Italbasket at the World Cup.
