PAOK Thessaloniki is making significant moves on the market and, according to reports from BasketNews, is close to finalizing a deal for Marcus Foster. The American guard is set to sign a two-year contract, becoming a key piece in coach Andrea Trinchieri’s tactical plans.
Foster’s arrival is not an isolated signing but part of the Greek club’s ambitious project. PAOK aims to climb the continental ranks with the stated goal of entering the EuroLeague in the coming years. To achieve this, the management has selected a player with proven experience and offensive talent.
The 30-year-old Foster returns to the “Old Continent” after a season in Japan with Alvark Tokyo, where he averaged 15.8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
However, it is his most recent European experience that has the Thessaloniki fans dreaming: Foster was one of the main protagonists in Hapoel Tel Aviv’s successful run to the 2024-25 EuroCup title.
