Panathinaikos, Obradovic warns Olimpia Milan: “We need to get back to our aggressiveness”

Zeljko Obradovic and Sylvain Francisco spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s game against Armani Olimpia Milan, scheduled for October 27 at 9:15 PM.

The coach stated: “Milan are a team with a lot of quality. We have to respect ourselves and them. We need to be consistent for 40 minutes. They have a lot of quality in their team. I think we need to focus a little more on ourselves and get back to the aggressiveness that is essential in the EuroLeague. Everyone is available for practice and has already practiced. Only Rogkavopoulos is out.”

Francisco added: “We don’t want Milan’s losing streak against us to come to an end. That’s why we have to stay focused. In the last two games, we didn’t play the way we wanted to. This is an opportunity for us, and we need to be more focused and better than in our previous games. Every game gives us extra motivation. If you allow your opponent to play their game, they become dangerous, as we saw against Baskonia. If we play our game, we will win. That’s what we have to do.

Our fans are important to us, and their presence always helps us. In our last game, when we went through a difficult stretch, they gave us a boost. It’s always good to set the tone from the beginning and not allow your opponent to find their rhythm, because once they do, it’s difficult to stop them. We’re trying to find our chemistry. The coach always knows what to do and brings out the best in us. We also have to give our best. Having Nunn and Sloukas back will help us. They need a little cardio (laughs, ed.), but you’ve seen how much they help us. We have a deep roster, and everyone is enjoying it.”
