Panathinaikos AKTOR squandered a 10-point lead in the last quarter against Partizan Mozzart Bet, leading to their defeat in the EuroLeague Round 10 clash in overtime. After the match, the owner of the Greek club, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, took to social media to comment on the refereeing. After posting a series of plays from the game, he stated: “No matter how many Arabs and their petrodollars you bring to the league, with this level of referees, no serious company will ever invest and put their name next to such a circus,” Giannakopoulos wrote on Instagram. The owner of Panathinaikos also recently commented on Olympiacos hiring Filip Petrusev and teased multi-million signings for the next year.

Following the loss at Stark Arena, the Athens team holds a 6-5 record in the EuroLeague, while remaining undefeated in the Greek Basket League with a perfect 8-0 score.
