Panathinaikos: Lessort close to return after Italy check, “all ok” from surgeon van Dijk

According to TheShot71, Mathias Lessort traveled to Italy for a final check and clearance from Dutch surgeon Niek van Dijk (who also operates in Pisa). The assessment reportedly came back “all ok” for the Panathinaikos big man.

Lessort could now return to team practice soon, possibly “as early as tonight,” aligning with van Dijk’s initial post-arthroscopy timeline. The original window was 14 weeks (Feb 28) to 16 weeks (Mar 14) to start full training.

The same report says Panathinaikos have March 15 and Panathinaikos vs AEK marked as a reference point, with the exact timing depending on how Lessort responds to group sessions and his physical condition.
